Tom Miller is a respected, well travelled DJ and more recently
producer currently living in London. Over the last 8 years,
he has DJed all around Europe and England, more recently settling
down to residencies in and around the capital. Starting his
DJ career in France whilst at college in southern France,
Tom gave the French lessons in UK Drum n Bass at some of Marseilles
top venues (Le Post a Galene, Balthazar) and on Marseille
Radio Grenouille. Moving back to UK to continue studies, he
DJed as a resident for Coventry's only pirate radio station
at the time - Infinity FM. In 1999 on completion of studies,
he moved to London to join pirate station Abyss FM 17 floors
up in Shepherd's Bush and following its closure due to too
many transmitter and aerial busts, he moved to Worldwide FM
- one of London's first internet radio stations.
Concentrating on more diverse music and saving the Drum n
Bass for the big occasion, Tom plays an eclectic mix of beat
music ranging from funk, hip hop, breaks and jazz to electronica
and more downtempo music. Tom's often a fixture in Lex Records'
touring schedule having DJed at the Camden Centre, The Scala,
Wang and Plastic People with acts such as Prince Paul, Edan,
Danger Mouse, Prince Po, Boom Bip, Buck 65, Fat Jon and many
more. His current and previous residencies as well as guest
appearances reflect his ability to flip around the music programme
to suit almost any taste. Having held residencies at some
of London's best and worst dj bars/clubs such as: Plastic
People, The Clinic, Circus, Salmon and Compasses, Bar and
Dining Rooms, 110 Old Street, Pool and the Asylum, Tom's current
main interests lie in promoting the best in beat and electronic
music on DELTA 9 Radio. Tom also DJs and organises part of
the monthly event Jam By The Lock, a huge twirling mix of
music held at Lock 17 in Camden. In the very near future,
Tom and a friend are starting a new funk and hip hop night
named Rattlebag at Raoul's Oxford and Global TOMination will
hopefully be making a return this autumn.
